Dalibor Radujko, FC Koper 2009/2010 - Slovenia Champions

I must post this shirt today almost because he is one of the hottest football players in Slovenia at the moment in my opinion. This shirt was worn by Dalibor Radujko (class of 1985 - Gemini like me) the year that FC Koper become the Slovenian champion for the first time in history (and only for now). Dalibor was one of the best players of Koper. After few years spent playing in Koper and winning the championship 'Dado' move to Iraklis in Greece, but after a short period without wear a Iraklis shirt in an official match Dado come back to Slovenia and signed for Olimpija Ljubljana. Very quick he become captain of the team. Now is one of the best Olimpija players. He also score last night in the only Slovenian derbi against NK Maribor. Olimpija won with the result of 4 -1. After the match i read on the internet that Slovenia national team coach Matjaž Kek would call Dado because Aleksander Radosavljevič is injured. We'll see. Well done Dado. Just keep playing like that! (i want your Olimpija shirt too) ;)

Muamer Vugdalič, NK Maribor UEFA Champions League 1999/2000

I was searching for this shirt - not for this one but for one from that match. It was unimportant to me from which player. Why? Because i was on that game. But not as a photographer. I was a regular citizen who was watching this match. The only difference between me and the other Slovenian (Maribor) supporters it was my seating. I was on 'tribune centrale Monte Mario' main seating and others were on the highest part of 'Curva Sud'. So, the others were not able to reach the first row - the end of the pitch. But at the end of the match i forgot to go down to the pitch to catch one match worn shirt. So for many years was this one 'bad dream' to me until now. I found this very rare shirt on the web and...now is my collection :) Worn by Muamer 'Piko' Vugdalic, a Slovenian defender (also a member of Slovenia National Team at that time) this shirt is a piece of Slovenian football history. That year was the first for a Slovenian team to play in UEFA Champions League group stage. Nike short sleeve shirt, away version with the Champions league ball patch on a sleeve. Hope to see the CL Ball on NK Maribor (or Olipmpija, the same for me) sleeve as soon as possible. Right today is the play-off 2nd leg match between Glasgow Rangers and NK Maribor for UEFA Europa League. Let's go Maribor.

Primoz Gliha, Slovenia National Team 1997

Whoa, this fabulous vintage shirt was worn by Primoz Gliha in a match against Croatia in Split on 2.4.1997. The match ends 3-3 and all the three goals were made by Gliha. So this is a 'Hat-trick' shirt. One incredible thing is, that these one match point was the only one in Slovenia qualification for FIFA 1998 France. Yes, Slovenia team was really bad at that time. Good for us was that because of that NZS change coach Verdenik with coach Srecko Katanec and we all know what happened. Primoz Gliha played 28 matches and scored 10 goals for Slovenia national Team.

Sebastjan Cimirotič, Slovenia National Team 2005

This shirt is from a legendary Slovenian player Sebastjan Cimirotic (also known as Cimerotic or just simply 'Cime') who played with Slovenia national team in 33 matches and scores 6 goals, one of them was the first goal in history for Slovenia in World Cup group stage. He score in the match against Spain played in Gwangju, South Korea in FIFA Worldcup 2002. Unfortionally we lost that game 3:1. This shirt was given to me by the player right after the match between Slovenia and Scotland played in Celje on 12.10.2005. Cime played the entire match. Unfortionally we lost also that match 3:0. This is a Kappa home shirt with long sleeves with FIFA 2006 qualification pacth.

Kliton Bozgo, NK Maribor 1999/2000

NK Maribor 1999/2000 shirt, Nike - long sleeve, from 'the' season. The best season for team Maribor in history. They have been Slovenia champions and for the first time in history (and only one till now) they play in the UEFA Champions league group faze (group A with Lazio, Bayer Leverkusen and Dinamo Kiev). The shirt was of player Kliton Bozgo, one of the best Maribor forward player in club history. The shirt was worn in slovenia league. This shirt is very rare and hard to find.

Aljaz Struna, FC Koper 2010/2011

Today's entry is a club shirt of an young and very talented player from the town of Piran - Aljaz Struna. He is also a member of Slovenia U-21 national team and i hope to receive his shirt from that team. The shirt is from the season 2010/2011 when FC Koper placed third in the championship after their winning season. Aljaz was one of the best players in the team during the whole season. The result is the interesting of foreigins clubs for him, the strongest demand is from England club Portsmouth (first division) and we'll see if he change his team until the end of August. The shirt is a Lotto long sleeve shirt. The interesting thing on this shirt is a yellow patch that cover a 'Mercator' logo (former sponsor of the team). On the first picture of the player is the sponsor still available while on the second is already covered. Its often that club's in Slovenia use the same shirt for the entire season and that's what happened here.

Jasmin Handanovic, Slovenia National Team FIFA 2010

Here is a goalkeeper shirt given to me by my friend goalkeeper Jasmin Handanovic in Jo'Burg during the FIFA Worldcup 2010. Normally this shirt is rare because of the world cup patch on a left hand sleeve. This is a Nike GK shirt, blue color - like the one used by his cousin, Samir Handanovic in one world cup match. Jasmin was on the bench during the game Algeria vs Slovenia which was played in Polokwane. Great shirt from a great person.

Zlatko Dedic, Slovenia National Team 2008

The shirt was worn by Zlatko Dedic in the game against Polonia in Wroclaw on 6.9.2008. Zlatko score for the final result of 1:1. The shirt was given to me by the player in person just few days after the match. This is a Nike away shirt, short sleeve used for the FIFA 2010 qualification. Zlatko Dedic is the player who scored against Russia in Maribor in the Play-off for FIFA 2010 in South Africa.

Matej Mavric, Slovenia National Team 2010

This fabulous shirt was given to me from the player personally after the UEFA 2012 Qualification match in Belgrade against Serbia on 7.9.2010. The match end's 1:1, Matej played the entire match. The shirt is Nike away short sleeve with 'UEFA 2012' and 'Respect' patch on sleeve's.
