Robert Koren, Slovenia National Team 2011

Robert Koren, the Captain of the team. This shirt is a match worn shirt from the match with Italy. Robert give it to me few days after the match. This shirt is from one of the best Slovenian player of all time. He scored a goal, the only one in the match against Algeria - one goal which signed the first Slovenian victory in any world cup match. That happened in Polokwane on 13 of June 2010. I was there in Peter Mokaba Stadium. Robert was one of the most important player in the FIFA 2010 qualifiers group matches  , as the captain he lead the squad to the final second place in group stage and then to the historic victory against the team of the great Russia. The second match in Maribor literally shocked all the visitors on the Ljudski vet stadium. In a positive way the home supporters and obviously negative the Russian fans. Two years after that match Slovenia team is not in a such position in his qualifiers group for the UEFA 2012 competition. In the last match in Maribor we need a victory against Serbia and hope that the result in other group matches would be good for our team. Robert will miss the last match because in Florence receive a yellow card - a second one. In various Slovenian sports news i read that the match in Florence with Italy was probably the last one for Robert. That 61 matches and 5 scored goals were enough for our team. Well  Robi, i hope to see you again in our - Slovenian colours, playing in the middle of the pitch in the way you know the best! Almost forgot; the shirt is signed!

Zlatko Dedić, Slovenia National Team 2010

On 11 August 2010 Ljubljana finally got a new, decent stadium - named Stožice stadium. Designed by Sadar Vuga architects studio the stadium with a capacity of aprox. 16.000 spectators (for football purposes) was opened on that day by Ljubljana mayor mr. Zoran Janković. After  short opening ceremony Slovenian national team played a friendly match with the Australian national team. This were for both teams the first match after FIFA 2010 world cup in South Africa. Slovenia won that match with a result of 2:0. What is important here is that Zlatko Dedić scored - with this beautiful shirt - the first official goal on the new Stožice stadium. Zlatko is quite habituated to this, to realize important goals; he score the first one in the 2010 qualification round against Poland - klik to see the shirt - and he also score the last but the more important goal in his career so far, the one against the great Russia team. The one that allows us to reach the world cup final stage in South Africa. Hope to see very soon some other important goal from him. This is a Nike short sleeve shirt without any patch. On the picture on the bottom of the page is Zlatko celebrating the goal. It's possible to see one particular of this shirt; It's seems that the numbers '1' and '4' on the back side of the shirt were not of the same color which it's noticeable also on the picture on the top of this text.

Alfred Jermaniš, Slovenia National Team 1996

Yesterday a NK Koper live legend - Alfred Jemaniš 'Švicko' call me on the phone and say that he had some shirts for me. In 5 minute we meet and i was literally shocked and very surprised at the same time what he prepare to me - a bag full of various match worned shirts. So let's start with them. The first shirt from the bag was this old and rare Slovenia national team shirt from the year 1996. It was worn on a match against Denmark played in Ljubljana on 1st of september. The match was valid for FIFA 1998 world cup qualification. Unfortionally we lost that match and 'Švicko' didn't played. Švicko played 28 matches for Slovenia national team and scored 1 goal. Unfortionally i didn't find any photo of him in this shirt. The one on the bottom of the page is from the same match this shirt is from. This is a Puma long sleeve home shirt.

Zlatko Zahovič, Slovenia National Team 2000

This Adidas shirt reminds me of one of the best matches i've ever seen (live) in my life - the match between Slovenia and Yugoslavia was played in Charleroi on EURO 2000 tournament. This was the first match in history for Slovenia on an final stage of EURO or FIFA World Cup. The match finished 3-3 after Slovenia leads for 3-0. Unfortionally this is not a shirt from that match (hope to find one soon, he he) but is a match worn shirt from the same year - i have to found from which game is it. Is a Adidas home long sleeve shirt with equipment tag. Shirt was worn by Zlatko Zahovic - with no doubt the best player Slovenia team have so far. Hope to watch a player like this soon in our national team.

Andraž Struna, KS Cracovia 2010/2011, Poland Ekstraklasa

Here is a match worn shirt of a young and very talented player Andraz Struna, who is under contract with KS Cracovia in the first Poland league called 'Ekstraklasa'. Andraz move to Poland from FC Luka Koper a year ago after he become Slovenian champion. He is a class 1989 player from the town of Piran. I know him for many years, as a (former) referee i direct some matches with Andraz and his brother Aljaz on the pitch. I told him so, but normally he didn't remember that - he was too young :) He gave me this shirt in Piran. Hope to receive some other shirt from him and i'll be very happy to receive it one from Slovenia national team - it would be great for Andraz to reach a call from a Slovenian national team coach. This is a Jako short sleeve shirt.

Dare Vršič, Slovenia National Team 2011

Here's another former FC Koper player, Dare Vršič. Now he is under contract in NK Olimpija Ljubljana and is one of the best players in Slovenian championship. This shirt is from the match between Slovenia and Estonia, valid for the UEFA 2012 qualification. Unfortionally Slovenia lost 2 against 1. Dare start the match from the bench, enter as substitution in 56'. Dare debut in the Slovenia team in the match against Romania in the year 2007, entered as substitution 7' till the end of the match and scored a goal. He suffered a bad injury and didn't played for a long time, come back to Slovenia in FC Luka Koper team for half year - become Slovenia champion. A lot of Slovenia national team supporters demand that Dare play for Slovenia team from the first minute because he is in a very good shape. This is a Nike short sleeve shirt with UEFA 2012 and Respect patch.

Konstantin Vassiljev, Estonia National Team 2011

First today's shirt is a shirt from a player who played 4 years in Slovenia Prva Liga championship. Three and a half year in NK Nafta Lendava and half year in FC Koper. I'm a official FC Koper photographer so i have the chance to know him. In my opinion he was one of the best player's in our championship, for that reason he was chosen by Koper. After a short period in Koper he moved to Amkar in Perm - Russia. He change his club just a few days before the match between Slovenia and Estonia national team. The match was valid for the UEFA 2012 qualification. Konstantin 'Kosta' is one of the best - ok, probably the best Estonian player, scored 3 goals in UEFA 2012 qualification. One of this is from the Ljubljana match, scored on a penality kick. This victory probably ends the chances Slovenia team have to finish second in the group. Congratulations to Kosta and to Estonian team for a great match. This is a Nike short sleeve shirt with UEFA 2012 and Respect patch.
